The Wilson Economic Development Council is responsible for attracting, retaining, and facilitating the expansion of higher quality industry resulting in an increased tax base and new job opportunities for Wilson's economy. Wilson County Properties, a private non-profit, development corporation, working in conjunction with the Wilson Economic Development Council, has introduced a 500 acre industrial park on Interstate 95.
