OVERVIEW AND LOGGING IN

Your E-Mail system is hosted on our "Web Messaging" Server. The reason that it has this name is because this server allows you to administrate and send/receive e-mail, all within a web browser! This functionality is available by directing a web browser of choice to http://www.domain-mail.com. Before you jump in and start surfing, there is some information that you will need in order to logon, and administrate your domain's E-Mail system.

The information that it will ask you when surfing on over to http://www.domain-mail.com, is a "User ID", and a "Password". Without this information you will not be able to administrate your domain's E-Mail system.

For the "User ID:" you need to enter the following crediental:
USER ID : "admin-contact@YourDomainName.com"
For the "Password:" you need to enter the default password. This is meant to be a temporary password ONLY. As soon as you are able to log in, please change this to a password that you would like.

Once you have entered the information in, and have pressed the "Logon" button, you will now be logged on in the "Main Mailbox for admin-contact". This is where all the administration takes place.


SENDING/RECEIVING E-MAIL FROM A BROWSER

The ability to read mail from a browser is especially handy for people on the road. All you need is Internet access to read and manage your email. And when you get back, your email client will download all the mail you didn't delete. To learn how, please see Reading Mail From a Browser


SENDING/RECEIVING E-MAIL FOR USERS - Settings

Sending and Receiving E-Mail for your domain is setup a bit differently than traditional means. The E-Mail settings that you should have are as follows...

POP3 SERVER NAME : pop3.domain-mail.com
POP3 SERVER PORT : 110
SMTP SERVER NAME : smtp.domain-mail.com
SMTP SERVER PORT : 25

Eudora 5.0:
Username: : user%YourDomainName.com@YourDomainName.com
(where YourDomainName is the domain name you have selected
Password: :

Netscape Messenger:
Username: : user%YourDomainName.com@YourDomainName.com
(where YourDomainName is the domain name you have selected

Microsoft Outlook:

(where YourDomainName is the domain name you have selected
Password: :

FIREWALLS:
If you are behind a firewall, please also open up the following ports:

PORT 81 UDP and TCP
PORT 106 UDP and TCP

MAILBOX SIZE LIMITS:

Please note there is a limit of 25 megabyte size limit per mailbox. Please be sure to keep the amount of saved messages for each mailbox below this level, or you may have mail returned due to lack of storage space. Should you need more space, please contact us.
